The person behind the work

About Richard Rogers.

I design and build websites for small businesses. Veteran. Solo operator.

Background

Richard Rogers

I am the founder of CrestFlow Digital, a one-person studio based in Virginia. I design and build small-business websites, audit how search engines and AI assistants see them, and build custom AI agents where automation actually helps.

Before starting CrestFlow, I served in the United States Marine Corps. The habits I built there, reading a situation carefully, finding the pattern in messy detail, and turning it into clear action, are what I bring to every build. That mindset is what CrestFlow Digital is built on.

What I do

Three services, one operator

  • Web design and build, new sites and full redesigns, built by hand and yours to keep
  • SEO and GEO audits, how search engines and AI assistants find, understand, and cite you
  • Custom AI agents, a helper that does one job for you, set up in your own accounts

I work directly with every client from the first call to the final handoff. No account managers, no outsourced analysts, no automated reports handed straight to you.

The origin

Why I started CrestFlow

I started CrestFlow after watching my wife's and mother-in-law's small business sites underperform. Digging into why sent me down a path of learning how sites are actually built and why some get found while others do not. So I started building and fixing sites, and the more I looked, the more I saw the same gaps everywhere. CrestFlow exists to close them.

The focus

Why veteran-owned businesses

CrestFlow Digital serves any small business, and I give veteran-owned companies a special place in the work. As a veteran myself, I know the effort it takes to build a business after service, and I believe those businesses deserve the same visibility as better-funded competitors.

I am based in Virginia and work with clients nationwide.

The process

How I work

A build starts with a short call, so I understand your business, your audience, and the next step you want a visitor to take. From there I design the structure and the pages, build them by hand, and check that the site loads fast and everyone can use it before anything ships. On an audit, I use AI tools to pull data across platforms, then go through the results myself and keep digging until the picture is clear.

Handoff is the part I care about most. On a build you get all the files, the hosting account, and domain control, with a walkthrough so you can make basic edits or hand it to another developer. On an audit you get the report and my direct line for follow-up.

  • Discovery first, so the work fits your business, not a generic checklist
  • Designed and built by hand, checked for speed, and so everyone can use it
  • Full handoff: you own the code, the hosting, and the domain
  • No handoffs to account managers, you deal with me start to finish
  • My job is to give you the intel. Your job is to go accomplish the mission.

Let's talk.

Tell me about your business. I will tell you honestly which of the three services fits where you are right now.
