Ranch Assistant
Ranch Assistant is barn management software for horse barns and lesson programs. It keeps a barn's horse care records, lessons, money owed, documents and schedule in one place, on a phone or a computer.
What Ranch Assistant does
- Horse records: details, care history, and when vaccinations, Coggins, farrier and deworming are next due
- Care logging for several horses at once
- Lessons: close out each lesson as taught, owed or a no-show, and see who owes what
- Documents: Coggins certificates, health papers and photos kept with each horse
- The barn's schedule and who is working today, read from the barn's Google Calendar
Access is by invitation. Each barn's records are kept in a separate database, and the barn controls who can see them.
How Ranch Assistant uses Google Calendar
Connecting Google Calendar is optional. When a barn connects it, Ranch Assistant asks for the Google account's identity and email address, to identify the connection, and for read-only access to calendar events, to show the barn's schedule, lessons and staff shifts inside the app.
- Ranch Assistant never creates, changes or deletes anything in Google Calendar.
- It does not read Gmail, Google Drive or any other Google data.
- Calendar data is used only to provide the barn's schedule in the app. It is not sold, not used for advertising, and not shared except as the privacy policy describes.
- A barn can disconnect at any time under More, then Connections, or remove access in its Google account settings.
Ranch Assistant's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
